Swiss Steak Royale - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. 1-inch thick round steak
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 c. liquid from mushrooms plus water
    1/4 tsp. rosemary
    1 clove garlic, crushed
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients after meat.
    Pound into steak and brown steak in shortening.
    Remove from pan; add flour not pounded into meat and stir well.
    Add liquid.
    Add seasonings, mushrooms, garlic and onions.
    Place steak in pan; cover tightly and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
    Serves 4 to 6.
