Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix flour and soda.
    Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles corn meal.
    Add buttermilk; mix to form soft dough. Turn onto floured surface; knead lightly several times until dough is smooth.
    Roll to desired thickness.
    Cut with floured biscuit cutter.
    Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
