Rhubarb Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cut up rhubarb
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal or oats
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Pat 3/4 of crumbly mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour in rhubarb mixture and sprinkle remaining crumbs over the top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
