Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    3 eggs
    2 c. blackberries, drained
    1 c. apple butter
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour (plain)
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar together, then add berries and apple butter.
    Add the unbeaten eggs and add buttermilk with the soda mixture and beat well.
    Add the spices.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until toothpick comes out clean; bake in a long bread pan (makes a big cake).
