Stuffed French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    8 oz. Jimmy Dean Special Recipe sausage
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    4 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 oz. bacon (crispy), crumbled and drained well
    1 loaf French bread (unsliced)
    6 to 8 eggs, beaten
    1/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. maple syrup
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg (ground)
Preparation
    In small mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, syrup and nutmeg.
    Set aside.
    Cut bread into thick slices, making every other slice to, but not through, the bottom to make pockets (8 to 10 pockets).
