Ingredients

1/2 c. egg whites (4 medium)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. shredded coconut or 2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 225\u00b0.
Beat egg whites until frothy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Continue beating until stiff and glossy.
Stir in rest of ingredients.
Drop heaping teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet that has been lined with brown wrapping paper.
Bake 20 minutes.
