Mexican Wedding Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. almond extract or 2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 to 2 c. ground filberts, Brazil or pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Mix shortening with sugar and cream well.
    Add salt, extract, flour and nuts.
    Chill dough until easy to handle.
    Make dough into small balls and place on cookie sheet or flatten bottom of floured tumbler before baking.
    While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
