Penuche - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. white sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. white Karo
1 can evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Melt butter; cool.
Add sugar and Karo; mix.
Add milk; mix well and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cook to a soft ball stage.
Cool; add vanilla.
Beat and add nuts.
Pour into buttered pans.
This recipe makes 5 pounds.
