Savoy Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head savoy cabbage
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic
    3 large carrots, sliced
    2 potatoes, sliced
    1 c. water
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. sage
    4 whole cloves
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut cabbage in four to six pieces, according to size.
    Pour the oil into a deep pot or Dutch oven.
    First, add onions and garlic, then half of cabbage together with the carrots and potatoes.
    Place the rest of the cabbage on top and add water, herbs and seasonings.
