Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 Granny Smith apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced (6 c.)
    3/4 to 1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    dash of ground nutmeg (optional)
    dash of salt
    pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie (Pillsbury)
Preparation
    If apples lack tartness, sprinkle with about 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
    Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; mix with apples.
    Line 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
    Fill with apple mixture.
    Adjust top and flute edges.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake in 400\u00b0
    oven for 50 minutes.
    Great when served hot topped with ice cream!
