Old Kentucky Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 medium onions, sliced
4 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. olive oil
3 Tbsp. flour
1 qt. beef stock
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cooking wine
French bread slices, toasted
2 c. grated cheese
parsley flakes
Preparation

In bottom of a saucepan, saute onions in butter and olive oil. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir until coated.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour.
Sprinkle grated cheese on toast slices.
Float a slice of toast on top of each bowl.
Place bowls on a cookie sheet under a broiler until cheese bubbles.
Serve immediately.
