Date Log - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 lb. pitted dates, cut in halves
    4 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add sugar to well beaten eggs.
    Fold in flour.
    Add vanilla, dates and nuts, mixing thoroughly.
    Bake in loaf pan at 325\u00b0 until firm on top.
    This freezes well.
