Black Midnight Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. soft shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2/3 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour pans.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
    Add everything, alternating with water and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0, 2 layers for 35 minutes or 9 x 13-inch for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Frost with White Mountain Frosting.
