Cheesy Bacon Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 c. catsup
    1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded mild cheese
    8 hamburger buns
Preparation
    Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp.
    Drain bacon; crumble and set aside.
    Drain off all bacon drippings.
    Add ground beef to skillet and brown; drain.
    Stir in bacon, onion, catsup, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
    Sprinkle cheese over top and heat until cheese melts.
