Applesauce Harvest Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. applesauce
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (3 oz.)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs; beat well.
    Stir together thoroughly the flour, soda and 1/2 tsp. salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in applesauce, cheese and nuts. Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes; cool 10 minutes in pan.
    Remove bread from pan; cool on rack.
    Makes one loaf.
