Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. bacon, cut fine
    1 onion, chopped
    2 1/2 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. finely cut celery, carrots or cabbage
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 can cream-style corn
    2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Fry the bacon over low heat until it begins to brown; stir occasionally. Add onion; let cook.
    Add diced potatoes, celery, carrots or cabbage and boiling water.
    Cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir well. Add salt, pepper, creamed corn and milk. Bring to a boil and serve.
    Serves 5 to 6.
