Spinach Ricotta (Italian Dumplings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cooked or frozen spinach
    1 1/2 c. Ricotta cheese
    1 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 c. flour or more (to roll dumplings in)
    1/4 c. finely chopped green onions
    3/4 tsp. salt
    few shakes pepper
    1 tsp. basil leaves
    1 clove garlic
    1 jar tomato sauce with or without meatballs and sausage
Preparation
    Note:
    The spinach can be cooked or frozen but chop, thaw and squeeze dry and Swiss chard may be substituted.
