Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flaked coconut
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and shortening.
Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll out 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with 2 1/2-inch cookie cutter.
Cook 2-inches apart.
