German Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bar German chocolate
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. butter flavoring
Preparation
    Partially melt chocolate over hot water.
    Remove and stir rapidly until melted.
    Cool.
    Cream the sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, flavoring and buttermilk.
    Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
    Add to shortening; mix well.
    Blend in chocolate.
    Pour into well-greased and floured 9-inch tube pan.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove from pan while still hot and place under tightly fitting cover until cool.
