Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew meat
    5 or 6 potatoes
    2 medium onions
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown stew meat in large pan, then add peeled vegetables. Season to taste.
    Add about a quart of water; bring to a boil, then let simmer until vegetables are done.
    Serve with green salad and cornbread.
