Clams Casino - cooking recipe

1 doz. cherrystone clams on the half shell
1/2 c. finely chopped and combined onion and green bell pepper
garlic butter
1 or 2 slices bacon, cut into small squares
bread crumbs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0. Place cherrystones on a baking pan. Place a small amount of the chopped onion and pepper combination on each clam. Add a small pad of garlic butter to each clam. Sprinkle each clam with bread crumbs. Place a bacon square on top of each clam. Bake for about 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
