Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    3 c. whole bran or All-Bran
    2 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. molasses
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    4 eggs
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Pour water over bran and let cool.
    Add buttermilk and molasses.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Beat well. Sift flour, salt and soda.
    Add the creamed mixture to the bran mixture.
    Stir in dry ingredients and raisins.
    Mix well.
    Store in refrigerator in covered bowl.
    Will keep 7 to 10 days.
