Grandma Ada'S Poor Man Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. water
1 box raisins
1 c. water
1/2 c. lard
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour

Preparation

Cook water and raisins for 10 to 15 minutes.
Mix the rest of the ingredients together plus the raisin mixture.
Bake in 13 x 9 -inch greased and floured cake pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
