Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qts. water
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 pt. salt
    4 cups vinegar
    4 cups sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp celery salt
Preparation
    Drain 1 qt. dill pickles.
    Cut pickles in quarters and put back in the jar.
    Pour 1 cup of sugar in the jar and fill with pickle juice.
    Put the lid on and mix.
    Turn the jar until the mixture is clear.
