Apple Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced pared tart apples or 1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) can pie sliced apples, drained
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Mound apples in buttered 9-inch pie plate.
    Sprinkle with orange juice.
    Also, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on apples. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
    Sprinkle over apples.
    Can add a little oatmeal to mixture if desired.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.
    Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
    Makes 6 servings.
