Chicken Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. rice
    1 or 2 c. diced chicken (raw)
    1/4 c. celery, diced
    1/4 c. carrot, diced
    10 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. chicken base
    1/4 c. onions, diced
Preparation
    In a big pan, saute butter, celery, carrots and onions until golden light brown, then continue to cook.
    Add chicken.
    Cook until it is brown.
    Add water, salt, pepper, chicken base and rice.
    Bring to a boil.
    Boil for 10 minutes.
    Lower heat to simmer; cook until rice is tender.
