Apricot Delight - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 prepared angel food cake
1 (46 oz.) can apricot nectar, reserving 1/2 c. nectar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 (8 oz.) container whipped topping
1 (4 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds
Preparation

Mix apricot nectar and sugar in saucepan and bring to boil. Combine the reserved apricot nectar and cornstarch.
Reduce heat and slowly stir in cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in almond flavoring.
Break pieces of angel food cake and placed in the bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour mixture while hot over cake pieces.
Cool and top with whipped topping and slivered almonds.
Chill before serving.
