Strawberry Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
    2 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
    4 c. prepared vanilla pudding
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    2 bananas
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed.
    Cool.
    Cut cake crosswise in half. Pour 1 package of the strawberries with syrup over cake.
    Slice 1 of the bananas over strawberries.
    Spread with half of the pudding.
    Place other half of cake on this and then repeat layers (strawberries, bananas, etc.).
    Cover.
    Chill at least 4 hours. Spread over trifle.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
