Black Iron Skillet Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Melt shortening in heavy skillet.
    Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
    Add the egg and milk; mix well.
    Pour into the same skillet and stir again to mix the shortening with the batter.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
