Buttery Cinnamon Skillet Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. real butter
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar (depends on tartness of apples)
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    4 medium cooking apples
Preparation
    Core apples, leaving peelings on; cut in half.
    In 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
    Mix cornstarch and sugar together.
    Add to melted butter and mix well.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples occasionally, until apples are fork-tender and sauce is thickened, 12 to 15 minutes.
