Ingredients

6 c. figs
3 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
Preparation

Wash figs in warm soda water and rinse well.
Cut ends off or peel, if preferred.
Put water and sugar on to boil about 10 minutes.
Put figs in and cook until syrupy, about 2 hours.
Put in jars and seal.
