Cantonese Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut into strips
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. mushroom gravy mix
    1 red pepper, cut into thin strips
    4 scallions, sliced diagonally into 1-inch pieces
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce, drained
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 1/2 c. dry Minute rice
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil in large skillet, 5 minutes.
    Combine water and gravy mix.
    Add to beef with red pepper, water chestnuts, scallions, soy sauce and ginger.
    Bring to a full boil.
