Mawmaw'S Old Fashioned Applesauce Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

Apples:
2 qt. water
4 c. dried apples
4 c. sugar
allspice or cinnamon as desired (to taste)

Preparation

Add water to dried apples.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours or until apples are tender.
When apples are consistency you desire for cake, add sugar.
Add spices as desired.
Set aside.
