White Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. lemon-lime soda
    3 c. sugar
    1 gal. water
    6 c. white grape juice
    2 tsp. citric acids
    1 qt. pineapple sherbet
Preparation
    Pour soda into ice ring.
    Freeze until firm.
    Dissolve sugar in water in saucepan over low heat.
    Remove from heat.
    Add grape juice and citric acids.
    Mix well.
    Chill until serving time. Unmold ice ring into punch bowl.
    Pour punch mixture over top. Spoon in sherbet.
    Serve immediately.
