Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks (in own juice)
    1 (10 oz.) can mandarin oranges
    2 medium bananas, sliced
    maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Pour pudding mix in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Stir in juice from pineapple, adding juice from oranges if necessary to make 1 cup liquid.
    Set fruit aside.
    Microwave, uncovered, for 3 to 4 minutes on High or until clear, stirring twice.
    Add pineapple and oranges.
    Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve.
    Stir in bananas.
    Garnish with cherries.
    If it's not convenient to add bananas at a later time, substitute drained, canned pears or peaches.
    Add at time when pineapple is added.
