Squash Au Gratin "A" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    salt
    1 stick oleo
    1 1/2 c. grated Longhorn or Cheddar cheese
    1 pkg. Waverly wafers, crumbled (1/3 box)
    1/2 c. Pet milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil sliced squash in small amount of water with salt and sugar.
    Cover and cook until tender.
    Drain well and add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and pour into buttered casserole.
    Sprinkle more grated cheese and cracker crumbs on top.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
