Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. top round or sirloin, cut in strips
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    3 green peppers
    2 large onions
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. beef stock
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Brown beef strips in oil.
    Add chopped peppers and sliced onions separated.
    Sprinkle ginger, pepper and salt.
    Add soy sauce.
