Sugar Cure For Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 lb. meat salt
    5 lb. brown sugar
    1/4 lb. black pepper
    small can red pepper
    2 (10 cent) cans saltpeter
Preparation
    Dissolve saltpeter in small amount of warm water.
    Mix all ingredients and stir in enough water to make a thick paste and rub into meat.
    Drain next morning and apply the rest of mixture. Enough for 200 pounds of meat.
