4 Layer Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 c. buttermilk
    4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. raisins
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. strawberry jam
    1 c. pear preserves
    2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar, buttermilk and butter together.
    Add soda and spices.
    Add flour; mix well.
    Add raisins, fruit and nuts.
    Put into four 9-inch round pans (greased and floured lightly).
    Bake slowly at 275\u00b0 until fluffy.
