Valna Ford'S Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. egg whites
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with water, salt and vanilla until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar; beat until mixture stands in peaks.
    Add 1 cup sifted sugar, one-fourth at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift together the remaining cup of sugar and the flour. Fold into egg white mixture.
    Bake in tube pan at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Test with toothpick and bake longer if necessary. Place the tube pan upside-down on cola bottle to cool.
