Layered Enchilada Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 1/4 cans chopped olives
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
6 tortillas, buttered
2 c. grated cheese (reserve 1/2 c.)
2/3 c. water
Preparation

Brown beef, onion and garlic in butter; add seasoning, olives and tomato sauce.
Using a 2-quart casserole, add enough meat mixture to cover the bottom of the casserole.
Alternate layers starting with a tortilla, meat sauce and then cheese.
Add water and cover.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cut in quarters and serve.
