Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 lb.)
    3 eggs
    1 c. chocolate bits
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small pkg. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Mix in order given.
    Batter will be thick.
    Spread in greased pan, 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 3/4-inch.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
