Banana Macadamia Nut Muffins - cooking recipe

1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 1/4 c. mashed, ripe bananas (about 3 large)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1/4 c. milk
1 large egg
1 c. unsalted Macadamia nuts, toasted and chopped
