Pennsylvania Dutch Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. round bone pot roast
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 medium carrots, chopped (1 c.)
    1 medium white turnip, chopped (1/2 c.)
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 clove garlic, minced
Preparation
    In Dutch oven, brown meat in a small amount of hot oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat to heated platter. Spoon vegetables over pot roast.
