Middle Eastern Chickpea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pkg. dry chickpeas (garbanzo)
    1 large tomato, chopped
    3/4 c. olive oil
    3 garlic cloves, minced well or 3 tsp. powdered garlic
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 Tbsp. cilantro (dried or fresh)
    dash of salt
    1 large lemon, squeezed
Preparation
    Prepare chickpeas as directed on package.
    When cooked, place in colander and rinse with cool water.
    Place in medium serving bowl.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Stir well and chill before serving.
    You may want to add more garlic.
    Remember garlic is good for the heart!
