Perfect Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plain flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. soft shortening
Preparation

Sift flour.
Stir into sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add cornmeal and stir.
Add eggs, milk and shortening.
Beat with electric beater until smooth.
Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
