Caramel Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan melt the butter.
    Add brown sugar and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add evaporated milk and continue stirring until it comes to a boil.
    Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Gradually add powdered sugar, beating hard until it's of fudgelike consistency (about 2 minutes).
    Stir in nuts and pour into 8 x 8 x 2-inch buttered pan.
    Chill.
    Yield:
    3 dozen pieces.
