Ingredients

1/2 c. water
3/4 c. white corn syrup
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. water
1 c. crushed strawberries
1 tsp. red food color
1 1/2 qt. fresh strawberries
2 baked pie shells
Preparation

Heat 1/2 cup water and syrup to boiling.
Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water.
Add to syrup and cook, stirring until thick. Remove from stove and add crushed strawberries and food coloring. Cool to just lukewarm.
Coat bottom of crusts with glaze.
Slice strawberries in pie shells and spoon glaze over berries slowly so it goes down in berries.
Chill and serve with whipped cream.
