Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)
    2 to 3 Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
    1/4 c. butter
    3 eggs, beaten
    8 oz. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Bake crust for 6 minutes, just long enough to set it but not brown it.
    Set aside and let cool. Increase oven temperature to 450\u00b0.
    Slice enough onions to nearly fill the crust.
    Saut onions in butter.
    In a bowl, combine eggs and sour cream, mixing well.
    Add onions, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce and cheese.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake for 20 minutes at 450\u00b0, then reduce oven temperature to 325\u00b0, baking another 20 minutes.
