Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks margarine, melted
1 c. nuts, raisins or chocolate chips (if desired)
Preparation

Mix flour and sugar.
Add egg, vanilla and margarine.
Mix well with a spoon.
Fold in nuts.
Drop on an ungreased cookie sheet about the size of a half-dollar.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until lightly brown.
Remove cookies with a metal spatula and cool before serving.
Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
